Direct Support Porfessional(multiple), Front Line Supervisor (1), Vocational Manager (1).
Job Descriptions: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) works to fulfill DSNs Missionby operationalizing DSNs Principles.
Successful DSPs understand that the two major means to the creation, support, and defense of valued social roles are to enhance both a persons image and competency.
The DSP works diligently to enhance the image and competency of the people they support.
The DSP seeks to understand the likes, dislikes, hopes and dreams of persons receiving services to better support them as they make choices and progress toward their goals The DSP functions as an integral member of a team that provides the people they support with the best possible services and opportunities.
This is an hourly position with flexible hours and a base hourly rate of $9-10.
50 depending on education and experience.
The Front Line Supervisor (FLS) works to fulfill DSNs Mission by operationalizing DSNs Principles.
The FLS ensures quality habilitative services through individual assessment, program development, data collection, program evaluation, staff development, staff training and adherence to regulated programmatic standards.
The FLS is responsible for the day to day oversight of all aspects of their assigned service location.
The FLS works diligently to enhance the image and competency of the people supported by DSN. Job duties will include, but are not limited to: directly overseeing 13-18 staff, training new employees, daily direction, coordination and evaluation of the location that you oversee, on-call 24-5 position with rotating weekends and holidays.
This is a salaried position with a base salary of 26k-32k depending on education and experience.
The Vocational Manager (VM) ensures quality vocational services and works to fulfill DSNs Mission and Principles.
The VM ensures high quality standards within the service environments.
Work involves the responsibility for supervising a vocational and/or social training program for assigned employees through training and assisting DSP(s) and Job Coaches in the consistent implementation of individualized program plans.
The VM assists in the coordination of persons in services with services coordinators, job placement personnel, parents, and guardians, and other interested parties through scheduling staff and assignments in order to comply with appropriate funding/ratio regulations, and to ensure that contract obligations are accomplished.
Examples of work performed include planning, scheduling, hiring, training, supervising DSPs and Job Coaches, and evaluating their performance.
The VM interprets administrative decisions and policies, based upon explanation from supervisor and ensures that all policies, rules, and regulations meet compliance.
The VM ensures accuracy of work performed by persons in services and that accurate commensurate wages are paid.
This is a Monday-Friday position with a base salary of 24,660k-29,660k depending on education and experience.
Qualifications: Direct Support Professional - Employees must be at least 19 years of age; have a high school diploma or equivalent; possess a valid drivers license, good driving record, reliable transportation and current auto insurance; and pass background checks.
The employee must have full range of motion, physical strength and ability to achieve and maintain required training and certification including, but not limited to: DSN agency training, Medication Aid Certification, Standard First Aid & CPR Certification; physical intervention techniques certification, and other trainings or certifications as required.
The employee must possess good verbal and written communication skills using English, including spelling and grammar.
Front Line Supervisor - Employees must be at least 19 years of age; have a high school diploma or equivalent; possess a valid drivers license, good driving record, reliable transportation and current auto insurance; and pass background checks.
The employee must have full range of motion, physical strength and ability to achieve and maintain required training and certification to include but not limited to: DSN agency training, Medication Aid Certification, Standard First Aid & CPR Certification; physical intervention techniques certification, and other trainings or certifications as required.
The employee must possess good verbal and written communication skills including spelling and grammar.
Vocational Manager - Employees must be at least 21 years of age; possess a high school diploma or equivalent and two years experience in human services, possess a valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
The employee must have full range of motion, physical strength and ability to achieve and maintain required training and certification to include but not limited to DSN agency training, Medication Aid Certification, Standard First Aid & CPR Certification; physical intervention techniques certification, and other trainings or certifications as required.
The employee must possess good verbal and written communication skills including spelling and grammar.
The employee must possess computer skills specifically Windows operating systems and Windows-based software.
