Job Summary Under the general supervision of the Claims Manager, the Data Entry Specialist - Claims is responsible for prompt and accurate coding of HCPCS/CPT codes to services authorized by the Family Care and Partnership teams and entering them into the appropriate authorization screens.

The position will be responsible for creating and updating documentation for the authorization coding process.

The Authorization Coding Specialist works closely with the claims department to validate the accuracy of billing, and the provider services department to ensure the proper codes are communicated to providers during the contracting process.

In addition, the position communicates directly with care providers and support staff to gain information required to perform coding responsibilities.

Requirements *High School Diploma or equivalent education
