manager Product Engineering Job in Multiple locations
Due to our continued growth of existing products and new product line introductions, we are currently searching for hands on, energetic, self starting, technical leader with electro optics systems design and production experience to lead our product engineering groups.
In this position you will be responsible for leading teams of engineers and technicians associated with production of our cooled EO IR systems technology.
The product engineering manager assumes the systems engineering role in the production phase and has a key responsibility to fully understand the mechanical, electrical, and software functions of the assigned product.
The responsibilities of the product engineering manager include but are not limited to: Requirements management and technical interface to customerControl of design configuration and overall management of technical data package including assembly processesPerformance Integrity including management of test requirements, test flow, test proceduresDrive Root Cause Corrective Action of production and customer related issues is essentialObsolescence management and upgrades associated with reliability or new customer requirements Leads transition of new products into production (participating role with new product & IRAD as applicable)Provide leadership and manages daily activities of engineering teamsResponsible for tracking budgets associated with engineering projects and resource allocations to programResponsible for performance appraisals and identifying training needs for direct reportsThe product engineering manager works with program management, operations, and quality to ensure product reliability and customer expectations are being met. Basic Qualifications BS or MS in EO/IR Systems, Physics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering and 8 to 10 years of experience is required.
8+yrs of experience is desired.
Knowledge of EO/IR systems, Infrared detectors (cooled or uncooled), or FLIRS highly desired.
Strong planning and organization skills as well as good written and verbal communications skills are essential.
Ability to present to all levels of management is essential.
