Summary: This individual will be responsible for assisting in daily, weekly and monthly analysis and will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of processes and tools aimed at streamlining and optimizing operational support across the entire organization.
The Senior Operations Analyst will work collaboratively with other members of the team and is a highly valued analytical resource to senior leadership and the business as a whole.
The individual will be an integral part of Finance and Operations strategic initiatives by creating value through actionable financial and business insight.
Represent business unit operations, collaborating globally across the company to identify business and resource interdependencies and influence operational processes.
Work efficiently and effectively with minimal oversight.
Ability to identify, seek out and collaborate with key stakeholders to implement business, process, and system solutions.
Position will be monitoring $100M and analyzing contractual financial commitments.
Responsibilities: - Produce daily/weekly and monthly/quarterly presentation packages for senior leadership- Provide enterprise-level reporting, analysis and insight to senior leadership- - Identify and establish metrics and drivers to help leaders understand business results and meet both financial and business commitments - Develop and implement "best in class" reporting and analytic packages- Provide variance and root cause driver analysis- Effectively communicate and translate results into business insights and actions- Provide external operations information and benchmarking on competitors and other "best in class" organizations in retail and other industries- Makes recommendations to management regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
- Prepare business cases in conjunction with the finance team to facilitate business process redefinitionQualifications- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of operations, financial and business analysis experience required- Advanced knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint and Access is required- Experience with Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects or similar reporting tools- Experience working in biotech/pharmaceutical environment is a plus - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals or technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of senior management, department heads, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
