Job TitleScientist II Biogen Idec HemophiliaLocationCambridge,MARequisition Number12603BRJob DescriptionThe pharmacology group at Biogen Idec Hemophilia is seeking a highly motivated senior scientist with experience in the design, development and implementation of bioanalytical assays to assess PK, immunogenicity, biomarker and activity in support of the Hemophilia Development Programs.
Responsibilities will include assay development and qualification/validation of appropriate assays to detect protein therapeutics and immune responses in support of preclinical and clinical studies in accordance with current industry guidelines and standards.
The successful candidate will be a strong research scientist with demonstrated experience in the bioanalytical area, have an interest and aptitude to learning new technologies, pay attention to details, and have a strong work ethic to meet demanding time lines.
The incumbent will demonstrate independent scientific thinking and work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
In addition, the candidate needs to possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Supervisory experience is desired.
QualificationsA PhD is required in pharmaceutical sciences, cell biology, molecular biology, immunology or other relevant programs with 3+ years of industry experience in a related field.
Experience in immunoassay development, and immunogenicity assays using techniques such as ELISA, MSD, PCR, and statistical analysis of the data are required.
Familiarity in supporting research, preclinical and clinical studies and with PK/ PD and immunogenicity concepts is desirable.
