Job TitleHuman Resources Business PartnerLocationSan Diego,CARequisition Number12002BRJob DescriptionThis position is responsible for leading and providing HR consulting, services and support for the Oncology Therapeutic Area as well as acting as HR Site Lead for San Diego.The ideal candidate will: Establish strong working relationships with Greg Reyes, SVP Onco TA and his senior staff and other members of the San Diego Site Leadership Team to provide value-added services and support as we endeavor to build a strong organization with capabilities to support an R&D strategy that includes recommending multiple new development candidates each year, conducting scientifically rigorous clinical proof of concept experiments, executing pivotal registration programs and supporting development excellence.
HR specific responsibilities include supporting design and implementation of HR programs and providing support in areas including talent acquisition and talent development; leadership development; employee communications; organization design and effectiveness; change management; performance management; employee reward and recognition and compensation.
QualificationsTen plus years experience in progressively responsible roles within Human Resources in "client facing" consultative/partnership roles.
The successful candidate will possess business acumen, analytical skills, consulting skills (including project planning and execution), sound functional HR knowledge and the ability to work independently and in teams.
Demonstrated competency in stimulating and embracing change, valuing simplicity and speed, communicating candidly, and cultivating talent are critical to success.
Candidates with previous biotech experience/knowledge of the drug development process strongly preferred.
