Windows Engineer Job in Houston 77002, Texas US
Our client is currently seeking an Active Directory Engineer to coordinate, direct, and design project Infrastructure activities as well as provide technology direction in support of the project and support teams.
Responsibilities: Lead the process that aligns our technology foundational components to business system initiatives.
Focus on Windows Infrastructure technologies and will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
Participate in overall IT planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems.
Requirements: 5+ years experience creating, troubleshooting and supporting complex Windows and Exchange solutions 5+ years in a Windows Infrastructure Engineer role, with some focus on Storage, technical designs and implementations 5+ years working with Windows Operating Systems, Clustering, Active Directory and Exchange 5+ years working as an Infrastructure Architect to implement complex solutions 5+ years working experience with a broad range of Infrastructure and Storage solutions Expert knowledge of and experience with enterprise scale Windows technologies such as Server platforms, Desktop platforms, Exchange Environments, Active Directory, IIS, Windows Clustering, Virtualization and Collaboration tools is required Technical consulting on the use and integration of Windows and Exchange infrastructure Provide Configuration Management leadership for the Enterprise Windows, Exchange and Identity Management Practical knowledge and a large experience of a broad range of infrastructure technologies Practical knowledge and a large experience of infrastructure services delivery techniques Practical knowledge and a large experience of Internet facing environments Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture concepts and best practices Ability to organize issues and prioritize in a fast paced environment with hard deadlines Experience with analyzing and documenting Technology solutions and mapping them to business TCO and ROI Analysis Project Management, ITIL, Six Sigma, CobiT and other processes, controls or methodologies are desired Knowledge of emerging technologies Proven communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills Ability to work both independently, as a member of the Architecture team, and ability to lead and mentor Must be able to quickly identify and resolve issues and concepts Ability to organize issues and prioritize in a fast paced environment with hard deadlines Self-Starter, Self-Motivated, Self-DirectedAt Strategic Careers® and Strategic IT Services, we specialize in placing Information Technology, Sales, Marketing and Bio-IT Professionals and Executives.
