Welder - Aluminum, MIG & TIG Job in Des Moines 50313, Iowa US
Job Title: WELDER SUMMARY: Performs Mig, Tig or Robot welding with aluminum and steel materials.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are a minimum requirement for this position.
Other duties may be assigned.
Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
Weld components using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

SAFETY RESPONSIBLITIES: Completion of safety procedures training.
Wear safety glasses and welding helmet, safety shoes, long pants, leathers and other PPE as required.
Compliance with all safety rules.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience and must pass welding test.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to follow instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form including safety rules, work instructions and control plans.
Ability to document product data information or quality data inspections.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to count, add numbers and convert fractions to decimals, ie: ˝= .50. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and frequently lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Robot welders are exposed to moving mechanical parts.
