Web Software Engineer / Web GUI Developer Job in Rockville 20852, Maryland US
MDA Information Systems, Inc. is seeking a Web Software Engineer / Web GUI Developer This position supports the design and coding of web-based software for the management and delivery of geospatial information over the Internet.
This position requires a highly-motivated individual with a willingness to learn, who can work in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Essential Job Functions Design and development of geospatial web applications to facilitate the viewing, selection, access and processing of geospatial data sets Design and development of creative and communicative GUI environments Maintenance and upgrades of existing geospatial portals Required Qualifications Working experience with ESRI ArcGIS Server, Image Extension, open-source and other commercial products supporting geospatial web development, and the ability to apply them to meet customer needs Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of staff and clients Ability to create and perform real-time query to other data vendor databases, based on client selection via the web interface Ability to leverage creative thinking and innovative ideas to turn customer ideas into working prototypes and products Ability to work well independently and within a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet client-driven deadlines Excellent work ethic Bachelor of Science degree US Citizenship is required Desired Qualifications Basic to Moderate understanding of Web Enterprise Suite XI Knowledge of the fundamentals of geospatial principles and capabilities About MDA Information Systems, Inc.
