Web/Front End Java Developer Job in West of Boston, Massachusetts US
Our client is searching for a well-versed Java Web developer to join its engineering team.
The team develops and maintains J2EE based web and PDA-based applications.
The ideal candidate will have solid work experince with the following: Java and J2EE Technologies (JSP, Servlets, JDBC, etc.) Significant hands-on working experience with JavaScript/AJAX/HTML/CSS/DOM Proficiency with various XML technologies (XDS, XPath, XSLT) Proficiency with JUnit and other unit testing frameworks Working knowledge of relational databases, ANSI SQL Working knowledge of J2EE application servers (Tomcat, WebLogic, JBoss) Familiarity with Web Services Track record of building scalable enterprise solutions Working knowledge of Agile SDLC (software development lifecycle; requirements)analysis, design, development, testing, implementation Background in object-oriented design and analysis, exposure to UML Thorough understanding of n-tier application architecture Strong analytical skills for effective problem solving solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required Experience5+ years of recent, hands-on production Java experience building commercial web applications Strong UI experience (strong Javascript,Swing experience) Prior experience with J2EE web frameworks: Struts, Spring, TapestryPrior experience with web portals BS in Computer Science or other technical degree Interested candidates should email a copy of their resume and salary requirements to kgorham [at] hollisterstaff [dot] com .
