Web Analytics Senior Analyst Job in New York 10022, New York US
Global private equity firm is seeking a Web Analytics Senior Analyst to join our Portfolio Support Group.
Opportunity & Responsibilities: The Senior Analyst will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and analysis of key performance indicators across the investment portfolio in digital media and ecommerce.
In this role, reporting to the Operating Executive, the senior analyst must leverage a unique technical skill set to deliver visibility and actionable analytics for portfolio company management teams.
Key responsibilities will include: · Design, development and maintenance of KPI dashboards for 10+ portfolio companies engaged in ecommerce or digital media activities with a focus on traffic acquisition, conversion, monetization and revenue optimization· Preparation of bi-weekly views of portfolio company performance and trends· Identification of macro (eg CPC pricing trends in Google) and micro (eg shift in product mix of a particular business line) trends in online performance and red flagging those developments for further investigation or strategic changes· Provide support for deal teams engaged in diligence of online businesses as needed· Some travel will be necessary, including international travel Technical Skill set: · Deep technical knowledge of web analytics tools including Omniture, Webtrends, Google Analytics, NedStat, WebTrekk· Comprehensive understanding of Google AdWords and Yahoo Panama paid search interfaces and data-extract tools.
· SQL query structuring, Visual Basic a plus.
· Comprehensive skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access database toolsQualifications: · 5+ years experience in ecommerce or digital media · Extensive online marketing experience, specifically in critical online channels o search marketingo affiliate marketingo email/dialog marketing· Data driven and highly analytical, with personal experience in developing key performance dashboards and metrics in online businesses· A high comfort level with technology and technologists.
While specific development skills are not required, an understanding of key web-enabled technologies, and their effective application will be necessary· Experience in managing outside vendors and 3rd parties, specifically digital media agencies, design firms, and promotional specialists· Experience and clear examples of successful commercial contract negotiations· Experience in driving results in search marketing, both in paid and organic traffic channels· Presentation development and delivery skills are a must· 4 year undergraduate degree required, MBA a plus
