Warehouse Specialist (Bessemer, AL) Job in Bessemer 35020, Alabama US

S householdsDIRECTV Home Services is currently seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join its Bessemer, AL team.
The Warehouse Specialist receives, stores, tracks and distributes material, tools, and equipment usually within a single location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Reviews bills of lading for incoming merchandise and Technician orders in order to plan work activities.
Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments, handles and distributes merchandise, and maintains warehouse inventory.
Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Marks materials with identifying information.
Reviews Technician schedules to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
Fills requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to Technicians.
Uses computer to enter records into databases.
Completes requisition forms to order additional equipment and supplies.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Previous warehouse experience preferred.
6+ months of work experience in a highly physical type work environment.
Basic electronics training and / or mechanical capability.
Good reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Must be able to lift, carry and handle materials that weigh up to 90 lbs.Must have negative pre-employment drug test.
Criminal and MVR background must meet company hiring criteria.
Willing and able to work weekends and holidays.
