This may come in the form of disposing of obsolete inventories or closing unproductive stores so they can better utilize these dollars for more profitable investments.

S., who call on their proven strategies and rely on their extensive network of resources and seasoned professionals.

We are seeking a Vice President of Business Development for their Retail Services division who will be responsible for sourcing, developing and execution of their retail services, appraisal opportunities, real estate services and wholesale opportunities.

This person will develop new business through existing relationships and identifying new opportunities in the market.

Location for this position is flexible, depending on the candidate.Key responsibilities for this position include: Identification of new clients and opportunities for the retail division.

Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.

Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluation options, revolving internal priorities, and recommending equity investments.

Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of venture with company operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating company's equity investments.

Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts with business operations.

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Identifies key personnel with potential clients and develops a positive business rapport.

Assists with the overall divisional marketing strategies as well as the development of customized marketing materials for presentations to clients.

Determines trade affiliations, conference attendance, and strategic market opportunities.

Assist appraisal, real estate and wholesale divisions with identified potential assignments.

Manages and coordinates transactions from start to finish including sourcing, follow-up, contract negotiations and project completion.

Participates in appropriate conferences and trade shows related to current business.

Analysis of data pertaining to potential transactions to develop strategic alliances with partner companies and bid valuations and strategies.

Qualifications for this position include: Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent, advanced degree is preferred.

Ten years of experience in a senior level management position within the retail industry or a senior level sales management position with a consumer products company that sells into the retail industry.

Detailed knowledge of and has had responsibility for retail P & L's.

Ability to function in high-pressure situations.

Ability to handle multiple projects with multi-level priorities at the same time.

Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.

Ability to analyze and understand retail retted data and financial statements.

Knowledge of communication and public relations techniques.

Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations.

Position requires excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to communicate and interact with internal and external associates at all levels and to work effectively with a wide range of personalities.

Good computer skills are required.
