Position Description: Business Overview: Brady Precision Converting, (BPC), a part of Brady Medical Solutions, is a global solutions provider for the medical industry.
We have manufacturing capabilities in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Our capabilities include rotary die-cutting, lamination, island placement, printing, label affixing, assembly, and packaging.
Brady Precision Converting is an FDA registered facility certified to ISO 9001:2000 and a 3M Preferred Medical Converter.
We can work from initial development through production to market delivery.
We also offer R&D assistance and prototyping.
Current markets served include: wound care, kit and drape components personal health and body care, personal protection, diagnostic, electronic and die-cut components.We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerPosition Summary: The value stream manager will be responsible for leading and supervising the value stream production team members in achieving aggressive targets in SQDCC.
Will use the lean tool box (Value Stream Mapping, 5S, 3P, Standard Work, SMED, Variation Reduction and Material Pull Systems) to eliminate waste and achieve these targets.
The value stream manager will be responsible for running the value stream lean daily management meeting and employ problem solving methodology to determine root cause and develop countermeasures for misses to daily targets.
The value stream manager will be responsible for achieving the correct staffing levels; including the hiring and firing of contract and full time workers.
The value stream manager will be responsible for determining required production hours and using overtime to fill short term gaps.
The value stream manager is responsible for working with the plant manager to develop the annual operating plan and the capital budget.
Once developed, the value stream manager will be held accountable to meet or exceed the annual operating plan.Job Requirements: Value Stream Manager (VSM) will need effective problem solving skills, as related to production and to personnel management issues.
The ideal VSM will have a minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
High School diploma or equivalent required BA degree or pursuit of business degree is preferred.
Equivalent mix of education and relevant experience may be considered.
VSM candidate must have demonstrable, practical, hands on experience in the areas of process improvement using Lean Tools.
VSM candidates must demonstrate mature, strong leadership traits, combined with excellent written and verbal communications abilities up and down the management chain.
The VSM candidate must have the ability and confidence to set and hold personnel accountable to KPI-metrics.
VSM?s will be to be able to establish standard work practices, monitor, and drive-home or evaluate program efficacy.
VSM position requires high energy and drive to be an effective leader.
VSM?s must drive process initiatives and lead by example at all times-full process ownership.
VSM will also support plant functions outside of the value stream such as: plant wide CPE initiatives, or shared service functionality such as screen making, material preparation, or shipping/receiving.
