Job Description: The primary purpose of this position is to perform troubleshooting of a users computer, phone and any electronically used device in the building.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Receive users requests from call tickets or emergency calls to the internal help desk lineVerify issue and resolution with users as necessary.
Update the ticket on how we fix the situationRespond to urgent issues via phone or in person as neededMaintain and Monitor servers for errorsMonitor Backup Systems, and pull tapes from LibraryCoordinate Backup Tapes at Off-site storage vendor.
Run Reports Operating system and hardware Organize and keep documents and records.
Assist Business Analysts to identify requirements and test cases.
Communicate on a daily basis in person, via phone, e-mail and other forms of communication with both internal and external resources.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Skills/Education/Experience: Technical education of job knowledge equivalent to 2 year college or trade school.
2 years of related professional experience.
Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening) skills.
Must have good understanding and ability to communicate the Company products and services.
Must have a good understanding of the Company IT process.
Basic Understanding of Networking (Cisco)Basic Understanding of IP Telephony (Cisco)Understanding of Server Operating Systems (HP-UX, Linux, Windows 2003/2008)Understanding of Desktop Operating Systems (Windows XP/Vista/7)Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance and manage multiple efforts with strong results/goal orientation.
Ability to use time effectively and to prioritize and organize workflow.
Strong decision making ability.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and develop alternative solutions.
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Company accounting software.
Must have good data entry skills.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Must have strong organizational skills.
