S householdsDIRECTV is seeking a Software Quality Assurance UAT Delivery Lead to take ownership of DirecTV's User Acceptance Testing.
The scope of QA duties will include user acceptance, functional, end-to-end, performance, automation and operational testing.
The successful candidate must be able to build effective relationships with business units, vendors, outsourced test partners, external & internal IT development & operations teams, and provide concise, action-oriented status reporting to management and stakeholders.
Responsibilities: Ownership of UAT test strategy/test case reviews and project plans, requirements reviews, release-level plans, functional testing, and performance testing specificationsLeading UAT activities including; Kickoff, Readiness Reviews, Status Meetings and Lessons Learned activitiesMonitoring UAT testing and assisting business staff in escalation of issues including coordinating business considerations with Release ManagersEnsuring adequate UAT resource coverage and utilization of test automation and other tools for improving productivity as a first prioritizationEffectively managing assigned UAT Coordinators and Business Unit stakeholder expectations for UAT eventsInitiating UAT process changes to improve quality/reducing defects and improving overall testing productivity for Success: BS/MS in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or comparable experience5+ years of IT quality assurance experience in large-scale environments with 2+ years of progressive formal UAT experience and leadershipExperience in planning, preparing, and executing user acceptance testing; including end-to-end test scenarios across multiple systemsExpertise with functional, integration, operational and performance testingExperience in SDLC methodologies including Agile/Scrum approachesFamiliarity with standard SQL Query tools & utilities and VLDB (Oracle, Teradata)Working knowledge of Mercury test tools including Quality Center, Quick Test Pro (QTP) and Defect Manager Ideal Qualifications: An understanding of OO programming languages (Java/C++) and scripting (HTML, DHTML, XML), DB development (Pl/SQL) and/or DB Administration (Oracle/Teradata)An understanding of back end financial systems testing and business processes including experience with TELCO Billing, Amdocs Products or Service Subscription Based systemsSignificant experience with business analysis and requirements definition Additional Information: Travel Percentage: 5%
