Turf Equipment Mobile Service Technician Job in Springfield 62707, Illinois US
MTI Distributing, the exclusive distributor for Toro commercial and irrigation equipment, has an opportunity for a talented and motivated Mobile Service Technician to service the Iowa, Missouri and Illinois areas but will primarily service the Peoria, Bloomington, Springfield and Decatur area of Illinois.

This position reports into our Berkeley (St.
Louis) Missouri facility but the tech needs to live around the primary service area.
The Mobile Service Tech travels to our customer locations, primarily country clubs and golf courses.
At the customers location the Technician will perform repairs on the customers mowing and turf care equipment.
The successful candidate will be an outstanding mechanic with above average diagnostic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical skills.
The essential job functions are: o Excellent customer communication and follow through.
o Ensure that repairs are completed on time with a high degree of workmanship.
o Ensure work orders and other administrative tasks are processed in an accurate and timely fashion.
o Work closely with Service Manager to grow and improve customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful field service experience, and possess exceptional communication skills.
Technical degree or equivalent experience required.
Our insurance carrier requires a good driving record.

Our benefit program includes: 401(k), medical, dental, STD and LTD insurance, PT and holiday pay. This position also allows the use of company truck to commute to and from work.
Candidates will be subjected to pre employment background check, drug screen, physical and Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check.
Candidate must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and able to lift 75 pounds.
MTI provides specialized tools specific to our products, however the successful candidate provides his/her own hand and power tools.
