Accounting, Valuation and Financial Reporting (AVFR) offers an integrated approach and practical customized solution to complex financial reporting, accounting and valuation issues faced by both corporate clients and private equity firms.
TS AVFR advises clients on complex accounting and financial reporting matters arising from IPOs and business combinations, private placements, lease financing, securitizations, carve-out and spin-off transactions, SEC filings, IFRS implementation, and fair value assessments.In both the financial reporting and tax arenas, TS AVFR helps companies identify valuation needs and resolve issues early to avoid surprises and anticipate the needs of auditors, investors and regulators.
As part of pre-acquisition diligence, we combine accounting and valuation expertise to help clients assess the potential value of acquired assets and liabilities and the impact of purchase accounting on their ongoing earnings and key metrics.
Post deal, we provide robust valuation advice including valuation reports to meet financial reporting requirements as well as tax structuring needs.
TS AVFR also plays a substantial role serving the Firm's audit clients, participating in the resolution of the most complex issues and reviewing valuation reports.
As a Senior Associate providing Valuation services, you will have the opportunity to: Work closely with senior Valuation practitioners and other professionals within PwC's tax practice in assisting US and foreign multinationals execute valuation assignments for a variety of purposesFocus on building lasting relationships as a trusted advisor to world-class clientsInteract with a dynamic group of professionals from around the world with diverse experiences and subject matter expertiseRefine a broad set of technical and soft" skillsParticipate in a collaborative team, with a focus on knowledge sharing and thought leadershipLearn to provide cutting edge advice, drawing on both financial accounting and corporate finance perspectivesSupervise and train AssociatesSupport sales and marketing efforts by Managers, Directors and PartnersEducation RequiredEducation RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Business, and Economics, Quantitative Analysis or other related major requiredMBA, ASA or CFA designation requiredAptitude for report writing and reviewingJob Requirements 2 to 4 years of experience performing valuation engagements in a valuation and/or consulting professional services firm, investment bank or corporate finance group Large public accounting firm experience is a plus, as is National Office exposure Solid technical skills Good business sense with the ability to analyze complex transactions and identify key elements and issues that are important to reach sound conclusions Solid written and oral communication skills, including the ability to share technical concepts in a manner that is understandable to laypeople, clients, and staff Thorough understanding of the application and interpretation of the Income, Market, and Cost Approaches to value for business enterprise valuation Working knowledge and experience regarding the application of valuation methodology for business entities and intangible assets, including valuation discounts and premiums Performance, interpretation, and application of company-specific, industry, and economic research and analysis Ability to multitask across several engagements and initiatives by prioritizing projects and managing time effectively Client service orientation combined with a creative approach to problem solving Self-motivation to take initiative for personal growth and development
