SAIC: From Science to Solutions® SAIC-Frederick is the Operations and Technical Support contractor to the National Cancer Institute at Frederick within the National Institutes of Health.
This position reports to the Manager, Training & Development within the Human Resources department, supporting nearly 2000 employees.
Responsibilities include development of computer based training (CBT) and web-based training (WBT) using authoring tools and technology for all staff levels.
The successful incumbent will utilize needs analysis, project management, course development and evaluation skills; research current instruction tools; maintain and utilize data within the NIH Learning Management System (LMS); conduct registration set -up and monitoring, input course descriptions and materials, track registrations for training programs within the LMS; provide support in coordinating company-wide training and development initiatives as well as tracking, monitoring and evaluation.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Bachelors degree, preferably with coursework in learning technology, instructional design, adult education and/or related field or four (4) years of equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
Masters degree in HRD and/or ASTD certification desired.
Foreign educated candidates who have completed part or all of their education outside of the United States must have their foreign education evaluated by an SAIC-approved accrediting organization to assure that it has met the equivalency of the qualifications of degree work in the United States.
In addition to education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible overall experience in a related environment, including a minimum of 2 years experience with technology-assisted learning software applications, learning management systems, simulation software and authoring tools.
Proficient in use of MS Office suite and Outlook.
Excellent oral and written communications skills and instructional design capabilities.
Ability to function effectively independently and within team.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment in planning, prioritizing, accomplishing goals in multiple tasks or projects.
Strong customer service orientation.
Ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
This position is subject to obtaining a Public Trust Clearance.
DESIRED SKILLS: Experience with web-based collaboration and communication systems technologies and intranets, including, but not limited to, SharePoint.
