Part of Deloitte's Human Capital consulting practice, the Total Rewards Communications group specializes in communication strategy development and implementation in the HR and benefits space.

A representative sample of a Consultant's job responsibilities and qualifications Responsibilities: - Assist with the creation of strategic communication plans and campaigns addressing global human resources, benefits, compensation and change management issues.
- Play a role in managing communications work streams from initial client meetings and concept development through writing, review, revision, production, distribution and evaluation.
- Develop project plans and timelines, document project budgets, select appropriate media and craft key messages.
- Develop a broad range of communication materials for a variety of audiences using multiple communication channels, including: print, multi-media, web, social networks, etc. - Work with designers and senior staff to develop graphic identities and approaches, and select and manage relationships with outside vendors for design, production and distribution needs and on-line communications.
- Attend sales calls, assess needs, help develop proposals and deliver presentations.
- Work with colleagues who are subject matter experts in retirement, compensation, health & welfare benefits and organizational change to develop appropriate strategy and content for communications.
- Balance multiple assignments and schedule workload to meet established deadlines.
- Keep abreast of technical developments in employee benefits and compensation, and communication trends; participate in outside targeted industry organizations.
- Participate in training opportunities designed to enhance overall understanding of non-communication services provided by our internal Total Rewards group, and the Human Capital practice in aggregate, in order to broaden ability to serve the client as a trusted business advisor.
- Participate in presentations to other functional groups within the firm and engage in eminence building activities for Total Rewards and Human Capital.
- Participate in local and regional team-building events as well as national communications networking activities.
Required Skills: - Bachelors Degree - At least 2 years of related work experience in HR-related communications, change management or other communications experience - Ability to travel up to 75% Preferred Qualifications: - Masters degree in Communications or Human Resources - Strong creative, writing, editing, organizational, strategic planning, analytical and interpersonal skills - Experience with or exposure to strategic change management and change communication strategies and assignments - Ability to work within a team environment demonstrating both leadership and participant skills - Presentation experience and understanding of on-line, print and video communication channels - Working knowledge of employee benefits, compensation and human resource programs - Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project; MS Publisher preferred) - CEBS certification (or working toward certification)Qualified candidates will be asked to bring a portfolio of communications work samples to the interview.
