Tool and Die Maker Job in Mission 66203, Kansas US
SUMMARY: Design, build, and maintain stamping tools, while supervising and training toolmakers to perform the same tasks.
Maintain inventory control on raw material, finished parts, and hardware needed to facilitate production.
Supervise inspection and scheduling of production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Must have toolmaking experience with capability to design, build, and maintain progressive dies for stamping operation.
Must be able to set-up and operate machine shop equipment such as: lathe, milling machine, surface grinders, etc. Must be able to program set-up and operate CNC mill, as well as train others to do so. Must understand and be able to explain the inspection requirement for all stamped parts.
Must be able to set-up stamping tools in press and complete first article inspection, as well as train others to do so. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and maintain inventory of hardware and materials needed for efficient operation of the stamping process.
Supervise and train toolmakers and machinist to perform tasks necessary for successful stamping operations.
Complete request for materials as needed.
