Tier IV Engineer Job in Atlanta 30321, Georgia US
TEKsystems has partnered with a large corporate client to employ a Tier IV Support Engineer.
This position is part of a larger initiative to grow this department within the company to handle an array of new technology that is coming for 2010 and 2011.
This person will work closely with peers and lower level engineers in a NOC environment to troubleshoot the large company network.
This network consist of about 90% Cisco and 10% Juniper routers, but will shift to about 70% Cisco and 30% Juniper in the coming years.The ideal candidates should have at least 4-5 years of Cisco network analysis and support experience, along with at least 2-3 years of solid Juniper networking knowledge as well.
They should have previous NOC experience and be comfortable with OSPF routing protocols and have some knowledge of CMTS technology.All qualified individuals must be comfortable with shift work and being on call.
They must also be a team player who is looking for long term commitment and growth with a company.
Only qualified applicants are encouraged to applyRequired Skills: At least 4-5 years of Cisco networking experience (CCNA or CCNP required), At least 2-3 years of working knowledge of Juniper routers (JNCIA preferred), At least 2-3 years of network troubleshooting experience in a NOC environment, At least 2-3 years of hands on experience doing break/fix type work in a NOC environment, At least 2-3 years of strong working knowledge of CMTS, At least 2-3 years of strong working knowledge of OSPFJoin TEKsystems® and get your career on the fast track.
