Assesses priorities given by management and delegates those priorities effectively to the rest of the execution staff.

Exercises flexibility in facilitating environments and CONTROL M schedules and cycles required to complete that execution and verification.

Performs build installations to keep environments up to date with latest builds in Endevor.

Writes SQL queries to extract information from the database.

Performs necessary ABEND analysis and troubleshooting.

Commits to overtime and emergency status situations to achieve the expectations of the Customer [IRS].

Acts as a liaison in the coordination of efforts between Development, Deployment, Testing staff and senior level staff.

Investigates and resolves operational matters of significance in conjunction with other engineering and technical support to ensure efficient resolution of problems.

Maintains record of job execution, documents any issues, prepares status reports and presents results as appropriate.

Recognizes opportunities for improvement and provides recommendations based upon that recognition.

Documents new procedures as time permits and communicates to the rest of the team.

Documents and submits defects for Development resolution when necessary.

Prepares team status reports to reflect all execution activity within the environments.

Attends planning meetings for future release requirements and efforts associated with the environments for delivering those releases and communicates initiatives back to the execution team and the O&M Environment Release Manager.

Attends on-call SRT [Service Restoration Team] calls for issues with High Impact and speaks/acts on behalf of the execution team.

Experience working with JES, JCL, TSO, MVS, ISPF.

Experience creating schedules in CNTL M or similar job scheduling package.

Experience working with DB2 and creating SQL queries.

Experience working with CICS.

Experience working in a development/testing environment a plus, but not necessary.

Experience working with MQ Series helpful, but not necessary.

Experince providing leadership and second level support for less knowledgeable staff.

Must be a US Citizen or Greencard Holder.

Qualification Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred Seven or more years of network testing experience Experience working with computer systems and their uses Experience working with telecommunications systems and their principles Experience working with network management and protocol system testing Experience working with scripting languages such as TCL, PERL, HP, etc Experience working with data transmission protocols such as TCP/IP, etc. Experience working with operating systems Experience working with protocols and technologies such as HTTP, SSL, FTP, SMTP, POP3, etc. Experience working with network equipment: switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc. Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong time management, priority allocation and task management skills Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members Strong presentation skills to present test results to individuals and groups Leadership skills to oversee, mentor and guide less experienced personnel Communication skills Active in pursuing learning opportunities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Remote Work Location Authorized: No Relocation Assistance: Not Available Clearance Level: MBI
