Terminal Operator Job in DETROIT 48217, Michigan US
Under general supervision of Terminal Supervisor is responsible for operating all Terminal equipment in connection with receiving, storing, transferring, and loading of petroleum products.
Gauges all storage tanks and takes meter readings for all products on a daily basis.
Calculates and inputs all product inventories and meter readings into appropriate systems.
Performs all daily and monthly reconciliation of product inventories and thru-puts.
Calibrates and adjusts all additive systems as required.
Takes product samples as required and performs Quality Control tests and maintains Product Quality Log. Performs all daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual maintenance and compliance inspections, and maintains required logs as appropriate in a neat and professional manner.
Job Requirements: High School Graduate, or equivalent.
Must be dependable and able work with little or no supervision.
Must be able to operate all products testing equipment necessary to obtain accurate results.
Must be proficient in mathematics and able to perform all required calculations with or without the use of a calculator.
Must be proficient with computers.
Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license for state of residence.
Must be able to recognize color differences in product samples.
Must be able to work out of doors in extreme weather and perform heavy physical labor in a safe manner.
Must be to climb heights in excess of 60 feet.
