Temporary Purchasing Assistant Job in New York 10001, New York US
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for various data entry functions, which includes PO updates and creation of excel files.
Responsible for creating and tracking RRTV requests, once vendor approval has been received.
Responsible for monitoring customer back orders holding to evaluate inventory availability and manually cross shipping as needed.
Responsible for the sorting of incoming mail and faxes.
Responsible for expediting late PO and taking appropriate action in order to have a positive impact on Fill Rate and customer satisfaction.
Responsible for evaluating inventory levels for balancing opportunities, transferring product between distribution centers as needed.
Monitor items prior and during active promotions, communicating variance to uplift plan, working to ensure adequate product availability.
Monitoring customer orders holding on NSI items through use of regular reporting, communicating the status to the Senior Buyer and PDM Manager.
Responsible for working with the suppliers to verify the dating for all items received short dated, realized through Receiving Exceptions.
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or the equivalent required.
Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
Basic knowledge of purchase order processing, basic computer knowledge and ability to multi task and work in a high volume environment.
