Technical Writer Job in Boston 02109
Confidential search for technical writer who can work independently for a web-based software and services company in Boston.
In this Technical Writer position, you'll have the opportunity to: Plan, develop, write, edit, publish, and maintain end-user manuals, systems administrator manuals, installation guides, and API documentation in printed and/or on-line formats.
Coordinate with external agencies translation activities for all documentation Create and maintain all technical documentation; interact with developers, product management and non-technical staff and users to analyze and interpret information needed to produce cohesive documentation.
Assist in UI design, quality assurance, product development, and training initiatives The position includes the following qualifications: Must have 5 years minimum experience creating product guides, administration manuals, user documentation, and online help Must be proficient in MS Office products (MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio) in an Author IT environment Must have strong end user familiarity with web-based search, blogs, wikis; experience with help authoring tools Knowledge of Java and familiarity with web-based software development is a plus Bachelors degree in communications, Journalism, or English, Technical Writing or related field required
