Technical Specialist- System Aircraft Maintenance Tech (OPBLM) Job in Chicago 60601, Illinois US
Responsibilities: Provides Line Maintenance Technical expertise as required to facilitate aircraft electrical/avionics/systems troubleshooting for repeats, chronic aircraft problems and out of service aircraft to line maintenance organizations.In a way that develops courses of action, accomplishes continuous review, provides follow-up action to reduce the numbers of repeat write-ups with history and return aircraft to service as soon as possible.
Coordinates and communicates with the Line Maintenance Technical Support team and key organizations for special needs/skills.Act as a single point liaison between line maintenance needs and the aircraft manufacture.
Insures specific problems are identified, resolved, documented and communicated in a timely manner with key organizations and the respective engineering organizations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of experience levels amongst the line maintenance and engineering community.
Must be proficient in the use of aircraft maintenance information, monitoring, data collection and resource tracking systems.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical or related engineering or equivalent line maintenance technical experience.
A & P License required.
Experience: 5-8 years of work experience troubleshooting/analyzing and successfully creating courses of action to correct chronic individual and fleet mechanical problems, or equivalent experience revising or creating procedures; work quality, job cards, regulatory compliance, COA, EMAC and maintenance programs.
