Technical Service Manager Job in Muncie 47302, Indiana US
SEEK Professionals is seeking a Technical Service Manager to provide timely Technical Support Services to both the Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales efforts.
Direct-hire position.
Reports to the Plant Manager.
Applications Engineers & Quality Supervisor report to this position.
The Technical Service Manager is part of the Operational Excellence/Quality team and is over-all responsible for plant quality issues and customer issues.
Mostly based in the plant but will need to travel to customer sites 20%.
This position is the "voice of the customer" and 90% of the customer contact is through this position (not sales).
Will be responsible for ensuring all incoming Raw Materials are suitable to conform to the current products & customer requirements.
Provide technical support to Sales and customer Service to address technical issues with customers experiencing difficulties.
Provide continued assistance and mentoring of both Customer Service and Sales Personnel about the Technical aspects of the products.
Have direct contact with both new and existing customers to discuss and enhance their knowledge.
Documentation for AIB, SQF and ISO certification.
100% of the materials made in this plant are food grade materials, so will be dealing with FDA audits.The qualified will have a Bachelors degree in related technical discipline or equivalent.
Extensive experience with thermoform processing or other processing used for applicable products in a manufacturing environment (minimum 7 years).
Experience working directly with external customers in a variety of functions ranging from Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality.
(minimum 5 years) Experience with thermoplastic materials and their end uses in a technical capacity (minimum 5 years).
AIB (American Institute of Baking) certification processes experience at MUST.
ISO, SQF, Six Sigma Black Belt is preferred.
