Technical Senior Project Manager Job in Seabrook 20706, Maryland US
Technical Senior Project Manager The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project management throughout both software development and implementation life cycles including documentation (eg RFPs), project scope, schedules, resources, quality control, cost containment, change management and technical supervision of developers and infrastructure support.
Candidate should possess extensive experience in IT project management and systems development.
ˇ Recognize, negotiate, and document changes in scope ˇ Interface with and manage client expectations ˇ Translate project objectives into detailed project requirements and tasks ˇ Supervise the writing of comprehensive documentation including Scope of Work, Statement of Work, Business and Technical Requirements documents ˇ Develop detailed project schedules, resource plans, status reports and contribute to the effectiveness of a team that integrates multiple functions and disciplines.
ˇ Conduct project meetings, provide meeting minutes, set and manage client expectations by escalating issues and changes when appropriate.
ˇ Work in close conjunction with the Program Manager to interface with all areas affected by the project, including internal and external client stakeholders, service organizations, vendors and implementation partners.
ˇ Manage and review project deliverables and milestones for accuracy, apprises management of issues effecting project status and proposes solutions to same.
ˇ Ensure satisfactory transfer of custody and control of products upon completion, close all project documentation and archive appropriate records.
Work closely with CCCMP manager to ensure compliance.
ˇ Create and support standards, processes and procedures necessary to produce deliverables.
ˇ Applies significant knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
ˇ Recognize system deficiencies and implements effective solutions.
ˇ BS in Computer Science; Masters Preferredˇ Knowledge of EVM desireableˇ Hands on experience with MS Project; specifically, creating project plans, loading resources, Critical Path optimization, EV data loading, report generation and reconciliation All candidates must reside in the Washington, DC metro area, no exceptions and be willing to work onsite in Bowie: ˇ Minimum of 5-10 years of web/technical project management experience ˇ Experience with .NET framework and capable of technical over site of Service Layer Programming (Act as backup if necessary)ˇ Previous experience in Web Content Management preferred ˇ The ideal candidate has experience managing software development/implementation projects.
ˇ Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and development team on a technical level.
ˇ Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required ˇ Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments with minimal direction ˇ Candidate must have a good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle models ˇ Experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio) and programming tools such as MS Visual Studio, C#, etc.
