Technical Design Intern Job in New York 10001, New York US
Overview: Assists Technical Designer Team/Department with technical package with complete information regarding garment specifications and construction according to the New York and Company brand standards.
This paid internship lasts for 10 weeks from June to August and is offered at our New York City Headquarters.
No relocation assistance will be provided.
Responsibilities: File paper work accuratelyOrganize fitting, pre-pro and TOP samplesMeasure all the sample received before fitting session.
Accuracy is a mostTake fitting notes at fitting timeEnter fit comments and measured specs in PDM to report to vendors and factories.
Update and maintain charts and work status through Excel.
Illustrate pattern corrections by flat sketching.
Communicate daily with overseas factory, agents and offices to update and clarify specification packages.
Qualifications: Able to work 32 – 40 hours a weekTeam playerKnowledge of PDM and experience with ExcelGarment construction knowledgeOrganized and detail oriented, a fast learnerFlat sketching ability, a plusStrong English language skills, both written and verbal.The Internship Program is available to enrolled college students in between junior and senior yearMust be in good academic standing, GPA o
