Technical/ Facility Support Job in Greenville 29606, South Carolina US
DescriptionBenefitfocus.com is seeking a talented Technical/Facility Support personto join our team in support of a 75 user technical office environment.
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: 2 or 4 year degree in relevant field of study 2-3 years of IT experience 2 years experience as a Helpdesk technician Familiarity with server operating systems and hardware Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills The ability to effectively track, manage, and report on issues/tasks assigned Strong team building skills Proven aptitudes to grow skill set and learn new technologies Ability to perform basic facility installation, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks Strong working knowledge of the following: · Windows XP Operating System · Windows Server 2003· Microsoft Active Directory user configuration and management· Linux Desktop Operating System is a plus· Apple MAC experience is a plus· Printer configuration and management· Virus protection software (Symantec Endpoint Protection)· Understanding and implementation of application programs associated with operating systems (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, etc.)· Workstation imaging and patching· Task management and the ability to prioritize· Strong ability to interact with end users positively and constructively resulting in problem resolution· Process development/improvement, system documentationExperience and Skills: Requirements/Tasks1.
Responsibility for administration of workstations and desktop computers2.
Monitor and maintain the support ticket queue to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner3.
Interact with vendors for software/hardware technical support and equipment issues4.
Manage and enable user peripheral devices (VPN tokens, mobile devices, wireless)5.
Maintain work area in an organized fashion6.
Perform system/server administration and maintenance task
