The Team Leader of Club assists in developing selling strategies and tactics, and implements to ensure volume and profit objectives are achieved for the channel customers.

The Team Leader is responsible for Costco East (4 Regions), Costco Corporate (CWI), and BJ’s to achieve sales, market share, and new item speed objectives.

This position owns promoting customer relationships, partnering with key individuals at all levels within the customer organization, gaining a full understanding of customer’s needs, anticipating changes in the business environment, and further establishing Wrigley as a leader in the eye of the customer.

The Team Leader will work cross-functionally and be involved in package design, product development, and function as a channel specialist for the Club Team across Category Management, Customer Support, Finance, Marketing, Executive Leadership Team, etc. Implement key channel / customer strategies to attain volume and profit targets and achieve category objectives.

Further develop each customer relationship to ensure optimum DSMP results and adherence to Wrigley’s policies and procedures.

Identify growth opportunities within the channel / customer and create strategic plans to generate incremental business.

Develop innovative approaches to building the business.

Identify risks within the channel / customer and create strategic plans to mitigate.

Direct internal resources to ensure channel / customer needs are met and aligned with objectives.

Assist in the development and alignment of Wrigley’s strategic sales plans and initiatives.

Develop, execute, and evaluate utilization of trade and retail activation funds.

Manage within budget parameters, continually looking for cost effectiveness opportunities.

Develop and deliver presentations and proposals that are clear, concise, compelling, and appropriate for the level and scope of the audience, framed from the customer’s perspective.

Accurately forecast volume, directing internal functions (Customer Support, Demand Planning, & National Customer Marketing) and function as channel / customer specialist in this area.

Utilize internal tools to track business plans and results, share effectively across the Club Team, and communicate efficiently within DCM.Perform special projects or assignments as requested by the Vice President – Strategic Customers and Director – Club Team.

Exceptional sales skills including negotiation, account management, account penetration, and strategic selling.

Ability to influence others up the organization, laterally, and below – both internally and externally.

Strong track record of achieving results.

High sense of urgency, accountability, and innovation minded.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Self motivated to work independently, as well as part of a team environment.

Technical expertise in use of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), data analytics (IRI, Nielsen), and Wrigley SAP tools (C-view, Preview).

Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and initiatives while under time constraints and pressure situations.

Prioritization management is key.40 – 50% travel recommended.

4 year undergraduate degree in Business or related field.

5 – 10 years of Consumer Packaged Goods experience.
