Systems Manager Job in Columbia 21046, Maryland US
Synopsis: Plans, schedules and coordinates the installation of systems software and hardware and provides preventative maintenance for systems and business processes.
Responsible for system configuration, tuning, performance, automation, standards adherence and enforcement to maximize availability for mission critical applications, systems and data.
May coordinate basic user admin (adds, changes, deletes, back-ups, file restores) in one or more operating environments.
May design software and hardware solutions to address identified business problems.
Consults with user groups and client organizations on strategies for the implementation of new technology.
Performs problem identification, troubleshooting, support and resolution for systems software and hardware in order to ensure minimal service disruptions.
Participates in new technology hardware and software vendor selection.
In addition, this position may work on more specialized programming projects or tasks.
May be required to provide 7x24 operational support coverage.
Required Skills: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Required
