11. 31 Redhat Enterprise Linux 3, 4, 5 RHEL 3, 4 HP/Compaq servers and hardware, including DL-class hardware Sun Fire-Class, E25K, M-class, and T2000 hardware HP PA/RISC and Itanium hardware Veritas VxFS and LVM storage management Veritas Volume Manager and/or LVM experience Veritas and HP Serviceguard HA clustering technology VMWARE technologyComfortable working in a clustered environment Knowledge and experience using jumpstart, kickstart, ignite to build Shell scripting – bash or ksh Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and IP multipathing configuration and troubleshooting Understanding of DHCP and DNS Understanding of Hardware, hardware configurations and terminology Experience installing new versions of software (i.
e., Data Protector) in enterprise environment Cyclades AlterPath experienceHP ILO and Sun RSC experience desired SAN and NAS Storage exposure/knowledge Strong background in HP Data Protector administration in large multi-platform environment consisting of Sun Solaris, HP-UX and Windows 200x Experience with backups: Servers, Databases, Storage, including SAN and NAS environments Advanced knowledge of Veritas NetBackup Datacenter version
4. 5+ using both GUI and command line utilities Experience with tape drives: VTL, AIT and LTO2/3, including Robot and stand alone Experience in daily backup and restore operations using HP Data Protector Experience identifying problems with backups and resolving issues Proficient in scripting, including VBScript, shell or Perl programming and DOS scripting Services: User/Group management, printers, Windows Domain Management Technical support skills Troubleshooting and problem solving skills Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills Great Customer service skills Good organization skills Attention to detailMinimum Education Required: BachelorYears of Experience Required: 3-5 Years
