Cooper Notification is looking for a Supply Chain Project Manager to join our team.

Supply Chain Project Manager The Supply Chain Project Manager position is an individual contributor focused on product COGS total cost of ownership, reduction, continuous improvement in customer service delivery, quality, lead time, sourcing simplification and supply risk mitigation for Cooper Notification products.

The incumbent will perform supplier ecosystem analysis for sourcing development, procurement phase in/phase out, and driving collaborative cost reduction programs across the supply chain based on total cost of ownership.

The activities in this role are expected to be project based responsibilities and require business and technical acumen with sound thinking, judgment, influencing, project management and communication skills for successful interaction and alignment across the business unit, division, corporation and supply base.

The Supply Chain Project Manager will be the Cooper Notification operations leader for supply chain simplification, total cost of ownership reduction and continuous improvement projects.

New and creative supplier relationship skills and supply base knowledge management is expected.

Cross functional internal and external teamwork addressing product Value Analysis/Value Engineering and manufacturing variance reduction project results are expected.

The incumbent will also manage assigned commodities through the entire procurement cycle using procurement and project management processes, performs supplier capability and quality assessments, RFP. RFQ, and negotiate supply agreements.

The Supply Chain Project Manager will assist the Procurement and Operations teams in purchasing and logistics related to cost reduction projects.

Job Requirements: Initiate, lead and execute on cost of goods sold total cost of ownership reduction, outsourcing, new product introduction and discontinuation of Cooper Notification products with focus on cost, quality, service, delivery improvement.

Understand and utilize Cooper Industries sourcing strategies to deliver cost of goods sold total cost of ownership reduction, including reduction in working capital and direct and indirect process costs (such as inventory, flexibility and service delivery).

Perform sourcing ecosystem analysis; maintain knowledge of factors affecting costs such as industry and technology trends, geo-political influences, up steam and related market cost reduction opportunities.

Supply master agreement negotiation and execution in collaboration with Cooper Industries Operations and Strategic Sourcing teams, on priority and critical sources.

Understand opportunities for, and make recommendations on, dual sourcing, alternate sourcing and supply base rationalization/reduction for cost reduction, risk mitigation and simplification.

Develop and implement supplier scorecards and mutual improvement actions related to outcomes.

Perform supplier operational, capability, and quality assessments.

Develop, lead and manage projects using formalized project management and strategic sourcing processes and procedures, Perform project financial analysis, justification, proposal, implementation, reporting, closure and resulting variance analysis.

Identify supply chain simplification, resilience and continuous process improvement opportunities.

Utilize create supply base knowledge management, early supplier involvement and supplier cost reduction work shops and relate concepts where beneficial.

Demonstrate world class sourcing, procurement and change management competencies with positive influence and knowledge transfer to Procurement and Operations teams.

Adhere to all legal, Cooper policy and ethical practices associated with global sourcing, procurement and business operations.

Maximize information systems in management of commodities and suppliers.

Coordinate implementation of sourcing projects such as: Quality inspection programs Prototype requests and evaluation Tooling requirements UL certification Production ramp-up plan Production run first article acceptance Others projects as required 25% - 40% travel is required A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree is preferred.

Minimum of five years of supply chain experience with demonstrated cost reduction results is required.

CPM, PMP, APICS, Lean/Six Sigma and/or SAP experience preferred.
