Education Required Desired Bachelors Degree Master Degree in engineering discipline Master Degree in Project Management Master Degree in Organizational Management Specialized skills, knowledge or certifications unique to this role Required Desired Strong analytical skills Strong problem and strategic problem solving skills Strong automotive technical background Strong communication skills FAP knowledge and experience Creative skills International Automotive experience Network w/US, Mexico & Germany Spanish or german language skills a plus Role summary · Coordinate the interdisciplinary team of experts in order to perform technical analysis on vehicles build in the Tennessee plant, assuring the support for the introduction of countermeasures for the Series and for the Service.

· Maximize the resources of the area such as vehicle fleets, equipment and tools in order to assure the correct analysis results in an economic, efficient and prompt manner.

· Manage the Field Analysis Team in order to assure the validation of proposed countermeasures.

· Coordinate resources in order to provide field understanding of technical problems.

· Drive the Failure Resolution Process (FAP) by organizing the process flow and communication with involved parties like Corporate Headquarters Service & Quality and Technical Development.

Role responsibilities Quality Planning/Pre-Series: Establish strategy, develop and maintain a launch support team for market introductions and report weekly field quality status.

Document all complaints and problem resolution progress in launch database and KPM. Create and update problem specific quality status sheets (traffic light sheets) and report continuously to the Quality Management Team.

Assure that the knowledge out of launch and the FAP will be transferred to the factory processes and product planning in order to avoid the same problems in future.

Release Event Cars: Release all cars for KAF, MAF, SoFa, WiFa and any kind of drive event.

Ensure that cars are up to date and fulfill market conformity and document status of cars.

Attend event preparation phase and events to document and communicate complaints and initiate improvements with responsible parties.

Prepare Management documentation and brief Q-Management for event participation.

Type-responsibility: support all type dependant factories with updated information about progress of project development.

Field Monitoring and Data Analysis: Understand field data and assure a continuously transparency of field quality situation.

Run standard reports and topic specific data analysis reports to identify and understand open topics and upcoming quality problems.

Establish and maintain the communication channel with Corporate S&Q Product Support (PS) to assure the availability of proper claim information from the Warranty Systems, Help Line and QTM, and from the dealer network.

Support the Quality Purchased Parts with field data and claimed parts.

Support all Quality departments, Production departments and Technical Development with detailed and specific data about technical concerns in order to develop solutions.

Specifically monitor safety related complaints and assure to have immediately background information Claim Analysis: Establish the strategy, develop and maintain the guidelines to operate an interdisciplinary team of specialists in Tennessee and involve the Quality teams from Corporate S&Q in Technical Centers to perform technical analysis on claimed parts and / or vehicles.

Assure the deployment of activities based on prioritization mechanisms within the FAP. Coordinate the team to develop or validate test procedures and design test benches in order to reproduce the failure.

Documentation: Assure the availability and presentation of topic-specific status report and analysis report for each issue in which the analysis has been finished.

Create a common data base to handle all information regarding analysis status and results.

Create and deliver a Monthly NMS Management Report with the analysis results.

Document all new topics with status reports, analysis results and countermeasures in standard tools (KPM).

FAP and technical solutions: Establish and maintain the escalation process inside the factory Chattanooga.

Assure, thru coordination of the team, the development of technical solutions, to be consistent with the analysis results, for the Series and for the Service.

Coordinate the QA and GQM-2 areas to speed up the introduction of solutions, within FAP. Validation of proposals: Assure with partners the availability of prototypes of technical solutions.

Coordinate the team to evaluate and validate such proposals under the same original conditions in which the failure appeared.
