PURPOSE: This position is responsible for the daily field supervision company owned metering systems, meter data quality, communication gateways, ancillary equipment and demand response programs.

RESPONSIBILITIES: General Supervises the maintenance and repair of metering systems on a center by center basis to ensure delivery of robust meter data to the Simon database.

Maintains detailed bi-weekly reports of replacement, repair and maintenance of all field meter and all associated equipment.

Maintains metering work orders and reports measuring KPI (key performance indicators) and prioritizes activities Maintains key relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure Energy Services involvement and leadership in applicable metering, energy information, and meter data application activities.

Assist in budget development for capital and O&M expenditures on metering and demand response systems, coordinating with responsible SPG property management.

Maintains process flow(s) for metering systems, metering data and associated functions.

Identifies revenue enhancement opportunities through metering and other applicable activities.

Ensures quality and value delivered for tenant purchased meters.

Field Meter systems and Data Quality Develops and maintains metering systems, strategies, standards and specifications to ensure the most cost effective, efficient, and robust metered data collection.

Responsible for installation, scheduling calibration, commissioning and maintenance of metering systems across the SPG portfolio to ensure accuracy, consistent operation and delivery of metered data to Simon database.

Responsible for Metering Maintenance Program implementation and contractors on behalf of SPG properties that are eligible to participate in such programs.

Responsible for efficient and accurate acquisition of utility and sub-metering data, including automatically collected meter data, delivery with verification/validation to existing DB. Responsible for maintaining training materials, training of field personnel for data entry and basic meter system interaction on a quarterly basis.

Develops (from time to time) and helps manage RFP(s) for metering and data equipment/software, implementation services, and the like to include scope, coordination, evaluation, award notification, KPI.Demand Response/Metering Audits Responsible for audits of SPG properties to identify metering and demand response opportunities.

Provides support to the Energy Services billing analysts to effectively allocate energy consumption costs throughout the SPG portfolio as required.

Demand Response Develops (from time to time) and helps administrate RFP(s) for Demand Response implementation services and the like to include scope, coordination, evaluation, award notification, KPI. Responsible for Demand Response implementation and contractors on behalf of SPG properties that are eligible to participate in such programs.

Maintains detailed bi-weekly reports and accurate performance indicators on all demand response programs.

QUALIFICATIONS: BS in engineering (electrical or mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience in electric/mechanical system design Strong working knowledge of design installation, commissioning, and maintenance of metering equipment, systems and data communications.

Experience with utility or commercial metering and meter data management Strong working knowledge of database and Microsoft Office programs Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and problem solving skills Strong ability to manage vendors.

Multi-tasking and goal oriented CONTACTS: Interacts internally with development, construction, technical services, billing, field operations, legal, leasing, revenue enhancement, and energy services organizations within Simon as well as vendors/suppliers serving Simon Property Group
