Subsea MUX Supervisor-Corporate/Rotator Job in Houston 77001, Texas US

Position Summary The Subsea MUX Supervisor is normally either a very experienced Senior Subsea Engineer or an ex-OEM specialist, with detailed knowledge and experience of the entire BOP multiplex control system (hydraulic, electrical and software), who troubleshoots problems, plans and manages projects, and supports and trains the subsea personnel.

Primary Responsibilities Subsea Operations Provides full support for all of the MUX control systems in the fleet.Can be responsible for major maintenance and upgrade projects.
Must be willing and capable of passing his experience to the lower ranks within the department.
SafetyParticipates in the Safety Training Observation Program (S.TOP.) and weekly safety and operational meetings.
Develops and implements Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and prepares risk assessments as required.
Reports all hazards and communicates ideas for enhancing safety standards.
Performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System.
Secondary Job Functions Performs other duties and special projects as requested by management.
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering or educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school or institute is preferred.
Professional Experience · The candidate must have 5 years experience as a Senior Subsea Engineer on MUX rigs or in a senior position with a major subsea equipment supplier.
· Bilingual is preferred (English plus Portuguese, French or Spanish) · Must be particularly proficient at reporting, both written and spoken.
· Ability to interact with individuals in a cross cultural environment.
· Computer literacy is a must.
(MS Office and some AutoCAD) Licenses, Certifications, Credentials, and Other Requirements: Offshore survival and medical certificates as mandated by Pride International, Inc. Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
