Staff Accountant Job in San Ramon, California US
Looking for a temporary Revenue Accountant to join our team for a 6 months contract position.
This position will report directly to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for the Accounts Receivable and Revenue cycle.
The function requires accuracy and detail, so we are looking for a highly detailed oriented individual.
A successful candidate will be a team player, head-down, hands-on, reliable member of the accounting staff with strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Job Responsibilities: - Sales fulfillment including: - Recording/updating opportunity in SalesForce - Sending out software license key to customers - Invoicing in QuickBooks - Maintain software revenue and deferred revenue schedule.
- Creating/updating vendor files (PO/SO folders) - Generate and analyze AR Aging Report.
Follow up on old outstanding invoices.
- Initiate collection calls/e-mails to customers - Handle billing inquiries/disputes - Assist with the month-end close for the AR and revenue cycle - Help with the year end audit for the revenue cycle - Perform monthly sales commission calculation Job Requirements: - 2-3 years of related accounting experience - Experience with SOP 97-2 - Must have knowledge of maintaining software revenue and deferred revenue schedule - Previous AR and Revenue experience - Solid Experience with QuickBooks and SalesForce - Some overtime will be require during month-end and quarterly close - Ability to work independently and as part of a team All applicants applying for US job openings must be authorized to work in the United States.

- Previous AR and Revenue experience with collections.
- Please do not apply if you do not have 2 years of solid experience with Quickbooks and Saleforce.
