Staff Accountant I Rent & Royality Reconciliation Job in Bethesda 20817, Maryland US
Summary: The Staff I Accountant position will be responsible for interacting with all aspects of the accounting cycle including month-end and year-end close as well as journal entries.
May be responsible for reconciliations and financial statement review and analysis.
This is an exempt position and typically reports to the department manager.
Essential Functions: Performs account analysis and ensures follow-up and resolution of issuesCommunicates with a wide range of internal and external customers (other departments, field locations, management, etc.)Identifies and recommends process improvements to create efficiencies with daily tasks Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment: Requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or other Business-related course of studyLess than one year of accounting related experience preferredRequires analytical and problem solving skillsRequires strong oral, written and interpersonal communications skillsRequires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyRequires a working knowledge of ExcelPeopleSoft Financials knowledge a plus Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE)Minority/Female/Disabled/Veteran (M/F/D/V)Drug Free Workplace (DFW)
