Sr Scientist II - Product Developer, Beverage Hydration Innovation Job Job in Barrington, Illinois US
DescriptionLead R&D programs and Scientists.
Candidate will manage and drive innovation agenda for Hydration and Sports Nutrition.
Scientist will lead accelerated product development life cycles that include new idea generation, prototype development, product optimization, and production start up for test market and national launching of new products.
Ability to interact with cross-functional/cross-location team members is a must.
Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities, solving technical project challenges and excellent project management skills.

3. and will be responsible for the development and coaching of this team, including skills assessments and development of training plans.
Requirements: - Skilled in project management- Working knowledge of technology development, product innovation methods- Lead Innovation platforms - Food and/or Beverage technologies- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into strategic and tactical project goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to incorporate business needs into technical decisions.
- The ability and interest to work in laboratory, pilot plant and manufacturing scale environments.
- Strong general scientific background: Solid knowledge and experience in Biochemistry and Food Chemistry- Self starter- Strong as a technical lead on cross-functional business teams with ability to influence the team direction- Strong product formulation skills and ability to translate prototypes into product specifications- Able to create solid test plans and execute in an efficient and thorough manner.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills - Able to handle multiple priorities- Manages related functional activities to ensure the alignment of project work with broader organizational initiatives.
- Strong people manager responsible for mentoring, training, and coaching of subordinates- Works to set the culture and tone for their area of work.
- Understands and uses business strategies, culture and work to achieve results.
- Lead broader R&D and PBF initiatives to enhance the work environment and growth of our people and overall organization - Be able to work comfortably both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to influence the desired outcomes in a complex organization- Able to work in a fast-paced environmentDegree in Food Science or Chemical Engineering is required in addition to relevant, progressive industry experience.
Bachelor's degree + 8-10 years experience, Masters Degree + 6-8 years experience or PhD degree + 4-6 years of experience.
Experienced with Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)( unable to paste Education info in the section above)
