***2 Positions available***Position SummaryThe Sr. Business Systems Analyst works closely with subject matter experts and other business stakeholders to understand their operational needs and, by applying various analytical tools, methods, and techniques, specify business requirements that are accurate, implementable, and testable.

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst is primarily accountable for the development of business requirement specifications that can be translated into technology and process solutions, and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of other key business models.

The Sr. Business Systems Analyst utilizes as a resource the Enterprise Business Architect to conceptualize, specify, and document core business systems and services.Job SpecificsThe essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Accountable for the development of business requirements specifications and working closely with IT as they develop the System Requirements Documents to transfer business knowledge to the IT team.

Responsible for the development of various business models, including semantic, process, logistic, scheduling, and motivations modelsResponsible for various forms of testing (e.

g., verification and validation) business systems components to assure quality and compliance.

Develops UAT strategies to link to requirements use cases.

Responsible for assisting key business resources with translating business problems into process and systems solutions, includes participating in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions to define business needs and appropriate solutions.

Responsible for evaluation of customer feedback and communication with customers to solve problems and facilitate use of customer facing systems.

Create and conduct training programs for business and agency users.

Other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of three years' work experience in insurance industry or with business analysis.

Significant knowledge of insurance products and processes.

Deep understanding of insurance customer needs and/or insurance sales needs.

Good understanding of the profit and expense drivers in an insurance organization.

Excellent communication skills, including ability to facilitate business and technical sessions.

Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience, as well as ability to communicate business information to a technical audience.

Ability to successfully negotiate agreements.

Business writing skills and ability to effectively document business requirements and UAT test strategies / scripts.

Ability to think creatively, effectively manage time, prioritize work, handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

B2T certification preferred.

Knowledge of various business modeling notations, including UML, BPMN and SBVR is preferred.

Knowledge of business process modeling, use case based requirements modeling, and project management fundamentals are preferred.

Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team.
