The Senior Applications Architect translates business objectives within one or more process areas into system application requirement specifications.

Incumbents collaborate with business staff and MIS to clarify user requirements, determine realistic project timeframes and ensure that system applications meet business needs.

Incumbents use a broad understanding of the business model across multiple systems to accurately anticipate current/future organizational impacts communicate system capabilities/possibilities and recommend solution options to the functional areas they represent.

Position requires a thorough understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) theory and practical application of MRP to the production environment.

Those solutions make use of existing systems or will be based on the technical recommendations provided by MIS technical staff.

They may lead business process mapping projects, data modeling, coordinate system testing and validation of new system changes.

They may develop system documentation for use in the business area.

Reports to: Manager Database Administration Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
Works directly with the Supply Chain Group
May act as systems application implementation team leader within a business process area.


Formulates user testing and validation procedures of new system changes with business clients.


Work closely with the Materials and Planning group to ensure good reporting and to capture data integrity to do jobs better.


Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.


Provide direction to Process Analyst associates to ensure material is flowing through the facility in a timely manner based on the PFEP(plan for every part).


Partner with Purchasing/Buyers to communicate and recommend business process improvements changes in buying patterns and adjust the PFEP (plan for every part) to allow for material flow through the plant.


Maintain required PFEP records and manage the change process of the document.


Supports the development and maintenance of effective supplier relationships to achieve company goals to include achieving schedule, reducing material lead times, improving quality, reliable delivery performance and favorable pricing.


Process Modeling of legacy system and modified process utilizing new ERP system.


Data migration from legacy system to new with assistance of Applications Development.

Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.


Prefers 3-5 years with Manufacturing Operations experience.


Capacity requirements planning experience
Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment, and problem solving ability
Excellent verbal communications/interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, complete multiple tasks, and attention to detail
Oracle Experience Preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Access
Must have hands on approach
Strong commitment to continuous quality improvement
Ability to adapt to rapid changes of a rapidly growing company
CPM, CPIM, or APICS Certification highly preferred
