p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } Responsibilities Project manage business processes throughout the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program including but not limited to the following activities: monitoring testing process, ensure timeliness of related activities, communication of standards/issues, identifying new areas of risk, recommending mitigation/remediation activities to management, researching and identifying the impact of potential issues, walkthrough activities, auditing compliance with program, provide technical training on use of the tracking tool, and status updates to management.
Responsible for understanding and interpreting the more technical processes within the SOX program – Information Technology and Network – and their impacts to other processes within the program.
Identification, reporting, and management of risks related to internal control over financial reporting.
Research and provide recommendations based on authoritative, industry and regulatory updates, and other pertinent information.
Follow up to ensure management recommendations have been implemented and remediate/mitigate identified risk.
p { font-size: 11px; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 12px; } QualificationsBA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or equivalent experience; MBA preferred 3 - 5 years audit and/or information systems experience: ability to effectively perform detailed analyses and big picture assessments of company processes and their related internal controls 2 - 4 years of public accounting including accounting/auditing, internal control evaluation and project management experience strongly preferred Accounting/auditing certification (CPA, CIA, CISA) strongly preferred Working knowledge of MS Office and VZW database systems Knowledge of IT risks, General Computer Controls, and the ability to link to business control points/risks Excellent interpersonal skills and strong written communications skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across various levels within the organization Proven ability to meet stringent reporting deadlines Ability to travel to areas outside of the home office location (Approx.
