Sr. Process Technician Job in Gloucester 01930, Massachusetts US

  We are looking for a Sr. Process Technician on behalf of our client, Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates. This position is based in Gloucester, MA.   Summary   In this position you would be responsible for characterization, optimization, operation, and maintenance of several key process and metrology tools (RS100, ThermaWave, ellipsometry, wet chemistry, annealing tools, etc.) in our Applications & Metrology Lab with minimal supervision      Responsibilities Must be capable of providing not only process tool operation, calibration and routine PMs but also assist in repairing system failures. Perform tests to track SPC data for all equipment in the lab.  Must have a basic knowledge to interpret the data. Assist in performing technical experiments, compile, and prepare reports in a support of engineering projects to develop new metrology capability. AS (or equivalent military experience) in engineering, chemistry, physical sciences or related field preferred. Minimum of  7 years experience in an analytical laboratory, semiconductor or equivalent.  Knowledge & hands-on experience in operation and maintenance of semiconductor equipment would be a plus. Mechanical and electrical systems troubleshooting skills a must. Also requires flexibility to work some weekends and occasional second shifts (3:00 to 11:30).
