Sr. Packaging Quality Engineer Job Job in Barrington, Illinois US
Description- Driving the day to day activities of the North American Beverage Packaging Quality Function.
- Develop processes and best practices for ensuring NAB PKG Quality meets or exceeds internal metrics.
- Work cross functionally with R&D, Global Procurement & Operations to establish packaging specifications that elevate & sustain superior quality throughout the supply chain in a cost-effective way - Track quality performance through the entire supply chain to identify opportunities for quality improvement and lead the company to achieve them - Support troubleshooting of packaging quality issues at vendors & plants.
- Ideal candidate will be a packaging professional with extensive quality experience (in practice or in function), or a quality professional with extensive packaging material experience.
Requirements: - 5 - 10+ years in depth experience in one of Pepsi's key packaging - Demonstrated accomplishments in driving superior package quality across a complex supply chain from packaging raw materials through the consumer experience - Demonstrated experience with developing packaging performance specifications derived from consumer centric drivers.
Experience in commercializing and qualifying those specifications in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- ASQ certification with strong knowledge of SPC applications - Six Sigma experience would be a plus- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, CQV a plus- Strong leadership, influencing & consensus building skills - Proven track record of achievement in a matrix organization and an ability to cultivate good cross functional partnerships - Excellent communication & presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts & systems to drive alignment around critical objectives - Excellent project management skills with broad knowledge of project management tools including MS Project - Creativity & ability to find innovative solutions to existing problems & new opportunities in driving superior quality Additional InformationLocal candidates only, no relocation (Greater Chicago Area).
