Financial Analyst position works under minimum supervision.
Responsible for providing analytical support to either the Sales or Supply Chain Operations Groups; driving analysis around customer, vendor, product, and industry analysisHeavily involved in the annual Budgeting and quarterly business forecasting process.
Responsible for working with accounting to ensure the integrity of our financial results at month end close and understanding the performance drivers of our business as compared to prior year, budget, and forecast.
Required to provide support for Executive Committee Review Meetings, work on special projects for CFO/Senior Business Team leaders that are in alignment with company-wide goals and sometimes make recommendations to senior and executive level management.
Required SkillsHighly proficient in Microsoft applications- (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Proven competency in database environments (Access, SQL)Knowledgeable in Budget Planning Systems and Analytical tools Strong understanding of financial concepts such as EVA, DCF and variance analysisKnowledgeable in Supply Chain operations and metricsStrong understanding of GAAP accountingSelf starter with strong teamwork skills and ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders across functional areas.
Excellent Communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the audience- eg executive and staff level.
Meticulous attention to detailRequired ExperienceUndergraduate and/or Graduate Degree in Finance or Business.
CMA a plus.
Minimum of 3 years work experience in an accounting/finance role related to budgeting/forecasting/planning and/or field client support.
Experience in a Distribution company a plusExperience in building complex financial models (ie Pro-forma financial statements) in support of Company Initiatives and/or the budget/forecast/planning process for Sales/Marketing/Supply Chain operationsExperience in automating financial reporting tools and reports.
