Sr. Embedded Software Engineers (Semiconductor) Job in San Jose, California US
A growing technology company in the Austin, TX area is looking for a few Sr. Embedded Software Engineers.
We are looking for candidates nationwide willing to relocate to the Austin, TX area.
Once again, the position is in Austin, TX. This position is will involve software development, prototyping and debugging of firmware for the companies broadcom division.
You will be responsiblbe for embedded code development of microcontroller applications.
Additional responsibilities include code architecture definition, revision control and bug tracking.
Although the main goal of this position is firmware for integration into on-chip memory, other code includes supplemental host-based code.
The creation and review of documentation are additional key responsibilities.
Contributions to product definition and development methodology are also required.

Embedded Software Engineer Qualifications: BSEE or BSCS degree from a recognized institution and a significant amount of industry experienceA Master's Degree is preferredFamiliarity with audio and or video processing is highly desirableMinimum 4-6 years or more of semiconductor industry experience in software development is requiredPreferred areas of experience include: Proficiency in CProficiency in 8051 assembly codeSoftware development for embedded systems with USB componentsVerilog and FPGA experience is a plusFamiliarity using lab equipment (protocol and logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes)Experience with configuration management toolsExperience with C, C++, Matlab, Algorithms, and Architect-level or mid-levelTuning equipment is highly desired including DSP development experienceKey Words: Broadcom Broadcast CATV Embedded Tuners Cable Modems Set Top Boxes C/C++ firmware software engineer semiconductor assembly audio video FPGA matlab DSP For consideration, please send your resume to pmontoya [at] kforce [dot] com today!
