Sr. Data Systems Analyst Job in Houston 77032, Texas US
Under general direction, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.
Guides and advises less-experienced IT personnel.
Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis and development activities.
Will be a member of the Information Management team and report directly to a Lead or Manager.
Major Responsibilities - Participates in all aspects of user consulting, systems analysis, general systems design, and detail systems design.
- Prepares detailed specifications from which simple to complex applications will be written.
- Able to develop new programs of moderate to complex scope, works with moderately complex applications systems design specifications; and utilizes Company standards, procedures, and techniques.
- Develops test plans.
- Assists in the education and development of less experienced IT Programmers.
- Participates in the team's sustainment activities.
Qualifications :Job Requirements: - Detailed understanding of the Oracle E-Business Suite data architecture.
- Detailed understanding of the P2ES Energy Suite data architecture.
- Ability to successfully communicate and work with business area personnel and management both inside and outside of the Company.
- Ability to understand and translate business requirements into technological solutions.
- Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of applications development activities.
- Proficient at developing and maintaining application systems.
- Has a detailed understanding of data governance.
- Has a detailed understanding of data warehousing techniques.
