Sr. C++ Developer Job in New York, New York US
An industry powerhouse is looking for an experienced resource well honed in the development of complex distributed systems and applications as well as developing software with RDBMS and can program extensively in SQL. While this is mainly a C/C++ shop and experience with the development of highly scalable and fault tolerant distributed systems/applications with C/C++ on Unix systems in a multithreaded environment is the basic requirement, Java is also a big plus as this team is also working quite a bit with Java.
Qualified candidates will also be strong with SQL and know at least one RDBMS, preferably Oracle.
Experience with stored procedures and advanced queueing is a plus.
Knowledge of Linux and Unix internals is a plus.
This team is really looking for a 'technologist/software engineer' first and someone with the above mentioned requirements second.
First and foremost they like smart and passionate people.
Qualified candidates should have at least 5-7 years experience with a BS in CS or EE. Masters a plus.
